I recently purchased a different plastic spoke protector for a higher price than these. While that one is made from much clearer plastic and better molded (these have prominent sprue and ejector pin marks), it didn’t work. With the prettier ones tightening the freewheel caused complete binding. The only way to get it to work was by adding an expensive shim under the freewheel which also altered the sprocket alignment.These spoke guards, while not the prettiest, are a different design and work perfectly. No need for any shims or other foolishness.
